About us

• Ironbridge Cartoons is a new start up venture partnership by Des Campbell (local cartoonist) and Joff Watkin (Sales and Marketing) both who live in and love the Ironbridge Gorge.
• Like many good ideas it started in the Coalbrookdale Inn where I found out what Des did for a living and after seeing the quality of his work I just had to think of a project to work on with him.
• After much head scratching the big idea was very simple, create a piece of limited edition cartoon art that celebrates all that is good in the Ironbridge gorge or in other words “A day in the life”, something that has never been done before.
• As the artwork came to life so did the potential of how the cartoon could be beneficial beyond its material value, so although this venture is a business it will also look for opportunities to give back to the local community.
• In a nut shell that’s it, both Des and myself are at the very start of a project that has the potential to develop in many directions but what I can promise is that it will be a fun ride whatever happens.
